What is the Artapult?
The Artapult is a cataput for flinging art. It is built on a road worthy steel trailer bed. The trailer supports the workings of the Artapult, which consist of a few parts.
The catapult arm is built form a stack of leaf springs. This arm has a bucket which can support up to 50 lbs. of art. The arm is attached to a pitch gear, which allows precision aiming at 'fling time'. There is a stop arm which controls the swing of the arm and helps prevent flipping.
The Artapult is secured to the ground for firing and is looking forward to the replacement of the hand powered come-along by a powered winch. Lastly, is the firing trigger, a hook and wheel mechanism, which allows firing from a safe distance.
